The Yorkshire Wind Ensemble is a flexible group of wind musicians based in Yorkshire, primarily made up of players from the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra.

The ensemble features many of the region's finest players of wind instruments, covering the full range of both woodwind and brass.

Players recently took part in the BBC's Symphony for Yorkshire project, where parts of a new symphony were specifically written for the ensemble. The symphony was recorded in a studio in Leeds and the ensemble filmed at a large wind farm on location at Ovenden Moor, Halifax.

The Yorkshire Wind Ensemble can provide a professional, quality group of wind musicians to suit any occasion, be it a duet of players, a traditional woodwind quartet, a small varied ensemble or a larger symphonic wind orchestra.
